Integration Engine & Middleware

The integration engine that weaves every system together

The integration engine connects ERP, CRM, clinical, industrial, cloud and partner systems with guaranteed delivery. Design flows visually or in code, transform any format, expose managed APIs and trace every message end to end.

  • Hundreds of connectors
  • Exactly-once delivery
  • Low-code and code-first

Why the integration engine

Integration is where most digital transformations stall. The integration engine unblocks it.

Point-to-point scripts, brittle ESBs and per-team iPaaS subscriptions create integration debt nobody owns. The integration engine replaces them with a single governed engine your whole organization can build on.

Connect anything

Pre-built connectors for enterprise applications, databases, message brokers, industrial protocols, healthcare standards and cloud services. Build a custom connector in an afternoon when you need one.

Transform and orchestrate

Drag-and-drop mapping, reusable transformation libraries and stateful orchestration for long-running business processes with human approval steps, retries and compensation.

Deliver with proof

Exactly-once semantics, persistent queues, dead-letter replay and an immutable message ledger. Every message carries an OpenTelemetry trace that the observability platform can follow across the network.

Connectors and protocols

Speaks the languages your systems already speak.

The integration engine ships with connectors for the systems we have integrated for customers over the last decade, from SAP and Salesforce to HL7 clinical interfaces, EDI trading partners and MQTT sensor fleets.

  • SAP S/4HANA & ECC
  • Salesforce
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Oracle
  • ServiceNow
  • Workday
  • Epic & Cerner
  • HL7 v2 & FHIR R4
  • EDI X12 & EDIFACT
  • REST & GraphQL
  • SOAP
  • Kafka
  • RabbitMQ & AMQP
  • MQTT
  • OPC UA & Modbus
  • SFTP & AS2
  • JDBC & CDC
  • Snowflake, S3 & ADLS
  • Azure Service Bus
  • Amazon SQS & EventBridge

Healthcare

HL7 v2, FHIR, DICOM metadata and X12 837/835 with PHI-aware masking.

Industrial & IoT

OPC UA, Modbus and MQTT ingestion with edge buffering for unreliable links.

Finance

ISO 20022, SWIFT MT, FIX and core banking APIs with full audit ledgers.

Enterprise apps

Bidirectional sync for ERP, CRM, HCM and ITSM with conflict resolution.

Design experience

Low-code for analysts. Real code for engineers. One artifact.

Flows built in the visual designer are stored as readable, versioned definitions in Git. Engineers can extend them with TypeScript, Python or Java functions, run them locally, and promote them through environments with CI/CD.

  • Visual mapper with schema inference and test data preview
  • Git-native versioning, pull-request reviews and rollbacks
  • Unit and contract tests for every flow, runnable in CI
  • Environment promotion with secrets managed by your vault

Platform capabilities

Enterprise middleware, without the enterprise middleware baggage.

API gateway and management

Publish, secure, version and meter APIs with OAuth 2.0, rate limiting, developer portal and usage analytics.

Event streaming

Native Kafka and MQTT support, event routing, fan-out and replay with a built-in schema registry.

Guaranteed delivery

Persistent queues, exactly-once processing, ordered delivery per key and automatic retries with backoff.

Data integration and CDC

Change data capture from SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL and MySQL into lakes, warehouses and downstream apps.

Orchestration

Stateful, long-running processes with human tasks, timers, compensation and visual runtime inspection.

Edge runtime

Lightweight agents for plants, clinics and branches that buffer and forward when connectivity is intermittent.

Security and governance

SSO, RBAC, field-level masking, encryption in transit and at rest, and immutable audit logs of every message and change.

Built-in observability

OpenTelemetry traces, metrics and structured logs for every flow, viewable in the observability platform or any compatible backend.

Deploy anywhere

Managed SaaS, Kubernetes in your cloud, or hardened on-premises and air-gapped installations.

Common use cases

Where customers put the integration engine to work first.

ERP and CRM synchronization

Keep customers, orders, inventory and invoices consistent between SAP, Dynamics, Salesforce and e-commerce platforms in real time.

Clinical and healthcare interoperability

Route HL7 and FHIR messages between EHR, lab, imaging, billing and analytics systems with PHI protection and full audit trails.

IoT and operational data pipelines

Ingest sensor and PLC data from the field, normalize it at the edge and stream it to historians, lakes and platform dashboards.

B2B and partner exchange

Onboard trading partners with EDI, AS2, SFTP and REST, then monitor SLAs for every document type.

Legacy modernization

Wrap mainframe, AS/400 and legacy database systems behind managed APIs so new applications can move fast without a risky rewrite.

Cloud migration

Run hybrid integrations while workloads move to AWS or Azure, with zero downtime cutovers and replayable histories.

Integration engine FAQ

How is the integration engine different from an iPaaS or ESB?

The integration engine combines the ease of a cloud iPaaS with the control of an enterprise service bus. Flows are Git-versioned artifacts you own, the engine runs wherever your data is allowed to live, and every message is traced end to end. There is no vendor lock-in on your integration logic.

What throughput can the integration engine handle?

The integration engine scales horizontally on Kubernetes. Customers run from a few hundred messages per day to tens of thousands per second, with ordered, exactly-once delivery per partition key.

Does the integration engine support healthcare standards like HL7 and FHIR?

Yes. The integration engine includes HL7 v2 MLLP, FHIR R4, X12 837/835 and DICOM metadata connectors with PHI-aware masking, making it suitable for HIPAA-regulated environments.

Can I run the integration engine on premises or air-gapped?

Yes. The integration engine is available as managed SaaS, as a Kubernetes deployment in your cloud, or as a hardened on-premises installation with offline update bundles.

How is the integration engine licensed?

As a single enterprise license that includes every connector, runtime and capability, with unlimited flows and designers. Contact us for a quote tailored to your environment, or see what the license includes.
